Knox County is getting a new dog park.
The public is invited to attend the ceremonial ribbon cutting, which will be held at Beverly Park at 5311 Beverly Park Circle at 10 a.m. on June 29th.
Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs will be joined by local philanthropist Randy Boyd and other elected leaders.
The county is also planning to build another four dog parks within the next few years thanks to a contest and grant program initiated and funded by the Boyd Family Foundation. Through a contest in 2020 residents chose to build dog parks at Beverly Park, New Harvest Park, the SportsPark, Powell Station Park and Clayton Park.
Specific park locations may be updated if the need arises.
