You may have seen an object in the sky last night in East Tennessee, a possible UFO sighting. FlightAware, a company that tracks domestic and international flights, says the object was an Alphabet Loon balloon. Alphabet is the parent company of Google. The balloons ran as part of a project aimed at increasing internet access in rural areas, mostly in Africa. FlightAware lists the object as “Project Loon 593″ and classifies it as a balloon. However, the Loon project shut down in early 2021.
