
A body is found in the Little River in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Park rangers and EMS responding to the scene about 1-mile west of Metcalf Bottoms on Monday. They found the body of 72 year-old Charles Queen partially submerged in the middle of the river. A Swiftwater rescue team recovered his body. His vehicle was found along a nearby steep embankment.
There were no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy will be performed to assist in determining the time and cause of death.
