Tennessee DOE Adjusting Rules Regarding Teaching Topics Such as Critical Race Theory

The Tennessee Department of Education has released rules regarding what is allowed to be taught in classrooms.

The rules deem 14 different topics to be barred from classrooms including the idea that people are naturally privileged solely due to race. Also banned from the classroom is the idea that the United States is an irreparably racist nation.

Teachers and school systems could face punsihment including a loss of funding if they are reported by a parent, student or school staff member to be breaking the rules.
