Judge Allows KCS To Return to Last Year’s Mask Policy

After a court ordered mask mandate was instituted in Knox County Schools, the federal judge in the case will now allow for some exemptions to mandate.

The court is now allowing KCS to essentially return to last year’s mask policy which allows for few medical exemptions. The school district must report every exemption grated to the judge for review.

The ruling also does not allow Governor Bill Lee’s “opt-out” order to continue in Knox County Schools
