Knoxville Police say 17 Year-Old Victim from Stone Road Shooting Has Died

The 17 year-old victim from a shooting on Stone Road earlier this month has died.

Knoxville Police say the boy from the shooting on September 8th died at UT Medical Center this week. The victim’s body was transported to the Regional Forensic Center, where a full autopsy will be conducted.

The 17-year-old male suspect from the shooting turned himself in on September 10th, was taken into custody on juvenile petitions for aggravated assault and minor in possession of a handgun and remains in custody. The DA will decide if upgraded charges and prosecution will be applied. The investigation in the case continues.
