A federal judge has ruled that the Knox County Board of Education has to impose a mask mandate for students.
A judge ruled with parents of four Knox County School students who argued their children were vulnerable to health risks and that a mask mandate would alleviate the risk.
The judge also ruled against Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order 84. The judge’s ruling means parents no longer get to decide whether or not their children will participate in a school system mask order.
The ruling only applies to Knox County Schools.
