One Killed, Another Injured After Being Shot in Parking Lot of Soaky Mountain Water Park in Sevier County

Sevierville Police are investigating a deadly shooting at Soaky Mountain Water Park.

Officers responded to the Waterpark Saturday night on a report of shots fired. Officers found two female shooting victims, 24-year old Kelsy Cook from Loudon was airlifted to the UT Medical Center where she was pronounced dead later in the evening. 23-year old Angie Russell, also from Loudon was taken to an area hospital, her injury appears to be non-life threatening.

Witnesses informed officers that possible suspects were in a vehicle leaving the parking area which officers were able to stop and two of the three people in the vehicle were arrested. 31-year old Sarah Romine from Knoxville was arrested and charged with second degree murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Police believe she shot both victims. 30-year old Joshua Dannels from Crossville was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
