Crews Searching for Summer Wells Accepting Donations to Help With Search

Over 100 people are participating in the search for five-year-old Summer Wells after she went missing Tuesday.

The TBI says recent information has led to growing concerns for the child’s wellbeing and triggered an AMBER Alert. Summer’s father says he believes she was kidnapped.

With the large amount of people searching in the heat for Summer, many people have asked what they can do to help. Though volunteers are not accepted for the search, first responders have released a list of items they would accept as donations to help fuel the search.

The list includes:

  • Beef Jerky
  • Meat Sticks
  • Slim Jims
  • Little Debbie Cakes
  • Deodorant
  • Tylenol
  • Ibuprofen
  • Cooling Towels
  • 55 Gallon Trash Bags

For instructions on where to bring donations, contact the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office or take items to 3711 Beech Creek Road in Rogersville or 955 East McKinney Avenue in Rogersville.
