TN Senator Marsha Blackburn Calls Out Big Tech Censorship of Covid-19 Stories

Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn organized a press conference with some of her republican colleagues Thursday to talk about Big Tech’s censorship of certain stories regarding Covid-19. During the time with the media, Blackburn took aim at Twitter, YouTube and Facebook for their handling of stories throughout the pandemic. Here’s what she had to say:

Twitter

“Twitter locked down the account of a Chinese virologist who was saying ‘this is what they’re doing, gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology,’ holding the Chinese Communist Party to account.”

YouTube

“YouTube had previously announced that it would censor any content that contradicted what the Beijing-run and China-funded World Health Organization said. YouTube even took down a video from some medical doctors who were questioning the value of these lockdowns.”

Facebook

“We know that Facebook recently reversed their decision on taking down any kind of information that said it (Covid-19) came from the lab in Wuhan.”
