THP Releasing More Details of an Accident that Closed Down I-75 in Loudon for Hours

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials updating details of the accident that shut down I-75 in Loudon county for hours.

THP says Six people were transported to the hospital for injuries following the crash, two were transported by air.

The crash involved three vehicles: a tractor trailer, and SUV and a minivan, there were eight total occupants.

The crash happening yesterday (Tuesday) when the tractor trailer hit the SUV from behind, which caused the SUV to hit the minivan. The minivan traveled off the interstate and came to an uncontrolled stop within the median, the SUV came to a stop in the roadway and the tractor trailer ending up in the median.
