Tennessee Unemployment Claims Down, Knox and Sevier Counties in Top Five Highest Claims Filed

More than 7,000 new unemployment claims are filed in Tennessee for the week ending on March 6th. That according to data released by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce.

The latest data shows new unemployment claims have decreased for the second week in a row. Continued claims have decreased as well.

Knox County with just under 25 hundred and Sevier County just over 13 hundred are among the top five counties with the highest number of continued unemployment claims in the state.

Almost one million one hundred thousand new unemployment claims have been filed in Tennessee since mid-March.
