KPD Investigating a Shooting They Don’t Believe to be Random

The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a shooting near Middlebrook Pike.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired just after midnight yesterday (Tuesday) and found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot of 944 Piney Grove Church Road.

KPD says the victim was transported to UT Medical Center in critical condition and say the shooting is not believed to be random in nature.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information, you are asked to contact police.
