KCHD Announcing Number of People on Their COVID-19 Waitlist and a Scam Involving the List

The Knox County Health Department says the wait list is up to nearly 17000 people. Officials say the county is receiving an average of 5 to 7000 doses of COVID vaccines a week, those going out to the health department, hospitals and pharmacies. KCHD is not planning a walk in vaccine clinic, they say the appointment system works better.

The Knox County Health Department is warning the public about a scam involving the wait list for a COVID-19 vaccine. They say if anyone calls you asking for your social security number or banking information, it is a scam. They say do not give out your information to these callers. KCHD will only call you to let you know your vaccine is ready.
