The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency reporting six people have died across the state due to the weather.
There have been two fatalities in Shelby County, one in Maury, Williamson, Dickson and Overton Counties.
In Brentwood, a 9-year-old boy died during a sledding accident and a 10-year-old boy died near Millington while trying to rescue his sister from an icy pond.
Throughout the state there are approximately 12,000 people without power.
