Knox County Commisisoners voted to delay a decision on striping decision making power from the Board of Health. Commission voted six to five at last nights meeting to revisit the issue in 90 days. Commissioner Charles Busler says the Board of Health failed in its message in the COVID-19 battle. Commissioner Carson Dailey says the board of health does not need power to issue mandates in the battle against COVID-19. Commissioner Terry Hill says now is not the time to make a drastic change to the Board of Health. Commissioners are set to take up the issue again in their April meeting.
