Knoxville Police investigating a shooting with two victims and a dog.
KPD responding to a shots fired call in the 300 block of Avenue B yesterday (Tuesday) night. Officers found two gunshot victims, the male and female victims were transported to UT Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
One person inside of the residence, identified as 40-year-old Terry Taylor, was found in possession of a stolen handgun. Taylor was taken into custody and charged with convicted felon in possession of a handgun and theft.
Police also found a quantity of substance believed to be heroin and various drug paraphernalia.
A small dog was also found inside of the residence that had a gunshot to the neck. Animal Control officers responded to the scene to transport the animal for veterinarian care.
