TDOT crews have been out overnight laying down salt keeping the roads clear for Tuesday morning’s commute.
Our TV Partner WVLT reports, officials with TDOT say interstates across Knox, Sevier, Jefferson, Cocke and Grainger Counties are a bit wet, but clear.
Crews started treating the roads before 7:00 Monday night. Some higher elevations and back roads could have slick and icy spots.
@myTDOT crews in East Tennessee loaded their trucks at 8am and are currently on their routes monitoring roadways. As temps continue to drop, rain is expected to change into a light snow/wintry mix beginning at 6pm and extending through noon on Tuesday for Upper East TN. pic.twitter.com/hMdG10R7J0
