A fatal accident at an overlook in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
48 year-old Wesley Brandon Stedham of Alabama fell yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) after stepping down a steep slope below the Chimney Tops overlook along Newfound Gap Road for a photograph. Stedham fell approximately 50 feet below the embankment and suffered severe head trauma and passed away as a result of his injuries.
