Nearly 60 business owners and leaders in Knox County signed a letter written to the Knox County Commissioners saying that they support the board of health.
The group says they support the board’s actions in attempting to limit the spread of Covid-19 in Knox County.
“Everyday we, as business owners, are tasked with keeping our folks employed and safe. In doing so, we keep the economy moving forward and help to bring in tax revenue, which allows our local governments to continue to operate and provide the services so critical to our community,” reads part of the letter.
The Knox County Commission is set to meet Monday night where they are expected to vote on a measure that could put a citizen representative onto the Board of Health.
