Drug Charges Filed in Monday Morning Police Chase

A man is in custody following a police chase through Knoxville Monday morning. It started around 5:00 a.m. as a shooting call to the Morningside Gardens Apartments on McCalla Avenue.

The caller said he heard gunshots outside his window and saw a white vehicle speed out of the parking lot. Police caught up to the vehicle on I-40 near Papermill Drive.

Police say the driver refused to pull over until he got to the Weigel’s on Cedar Bluff. Officials say numerous narcotics were found in the vehicle.

47-year-old Treavor Warren was taken into custody. He’s facing several charges including schedule II, IV and VI drug violations, evading arrest and driving on a revoked license.

Officials say they were not able to locate a crime scene and no shooting victims were located.
