Near Record One Day Total of COVID-19 Cases Reported in Knox County

Knox County sees a near record one-day total of COVID-19 cases reported. 219 cases were reported (Tuesday).

Dr. Martha Buchanan, Director of the Knox County Health Department, says many factors contribute to an increase in cases.
She says Dr. Deborah Birx, White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, visited UT  (Tuesday) and gave them data that suggests stopping alcohol consumption by 10 or 11 p.m. in bars greatly decreases the reported number of COVID-19 cases. That is something being done on several University Campus across the U.S.

Buchanan says she would support such closures in Knox County.
