Hazardous Chemical Given Out at Fish Hospitality Pantry this Week

If you went to the Fish Hospitality Pantry on West Scott Avenue Tuesday, authorities are asking you to check your pantry for a highly concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide.

It’s a white gallon jug marked with a hazardous symbol. The mixture contains 50% hydrogen peroxide which is not intended for residential use and can actually cause second-degree burns. Officials believe 54 of the jugs were given out by the pantry Tuesday.

You’re urged not to dispose of the chemical yourself as it can cause significant personal injuries and even environmental damage. If you have a bottle or know someone who may have received one you’re asked to call police who can properly dispose of it.
