Governor Bill Lee Renames Tennessee Prison in Honor of Murdered Employee

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signs an executive order renaming a state prison in honor of an employee found dead in her home on the prison’s grounds.

The Tennessee Prison for Women will be renamed the Debra Kay Johnson Rehabilitation Center. The Governor says this honors her years of service.

An inmate escaped from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary, Curtis Watson was indicted by a grand jury earlier this year on 15 counts including First Degree Murder.
