Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs will facilitate a public forum before the Board of Health meeting Wednesday. The board has been holding virtual meetings and hadn’t allowed public comment. The meeting will start with 30 minutes of public input. Each speaker will have up to three minutes.
Mayor Jacobs says, “No public institution I’ve ever seen can make these types of sweeping regulations without public input.” Jacobs says transparency is the greatest tool in government.
If you’d like to speak during the meeting you’ll have to sign up with the Mayor’s Office. You’re asked to call the Mayor’s Office at (865) 215-2005 and speak to Marsha between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4th.
