Knox County Schools Wants Feedback on Virtual Classes

Knox County Schools are asking for your input about virtual classes this fall.

School officials say the goal is still to return to in-person classes as it will lead to the best academic outcomes, but that a virtual option will be available for families who are not comfortable returning.

The survey is non-binding and parents will later be asked to enroll in the virtual program. The survey is available through Tuesday, July 7th.

In a statement schools officials say, “We are gathering feedback and information from the Knox County community about re-opening our schools. This effort is designed to provide guidance from all of our stakeholders and it will help Superintendent Bob Thomas and the Board of Education to make decisions about the fall semester.”

Leaders are still working on guidelines for the fall and Superintendent Bob Thomas intends to reveal the plan to the Board of Education on July 15.
