The COVID-19 outbreak is forcing the cancellation of another Knoxville event. Matt Beeler, founder of the Big Kahuna Wing Festival, says he’s decided to skip this year’s 8th annual event due to the pandemic. Beeler says he’s “heartbroken” to cancel the festival because it prevents a donation to area charities. To date the festival has raised more then $400,000 for local charaties.
The Big Kahuna Wing Festival had been planned for early September at World’s Fair Park in downtown Knoxville.
