300 Tested at Hamblin Co. Jail for COVID-19

More than 300 employees and inmates at the Hamblen County Jail have been tested for COVID-19 after thirteen people tested positive on June 17. Hamblen County Sheriff Esco Jarnagin told WVLT News Tuesday, June 23  that he was still waiting on additional test results a week later. Jarnagin referred to the situation as “frustrating” and added that more testing was scheduled for Wednesday, June 24. The jail does not currently allow visitation, but does allow virtual visitation.
