Tennessee Police Officer Resigns After Comments About George Floyd

A Greenbrier, Tennessee police officer resigned the day after leaked Facebook posts that included a controversial comment about George Floyd.

 

Cory Tidwell posted memes that included pictures of Michelle Obama and others accusing minorities of committing crimes.

 

Tidwell made a comment following a different post about George Floyd that said “If he was begging…HE WAS F****** BREATHING STUPID F****!!!!!!!….same old b******* over and over and over….”

 

Tidwell says he did not expect his posts to be taken as racist.
