Mike Clapp is an X-ray Technologist at Blount Memorial Hospital. Mike Clapp has been an x-ray tech for 25 years. He is a great tech and loves his patients and his job. His coworkers call him “Pappy” at work. His patients come in regularly asking if he is working and always want to see him. Pappy sure knows how to make you smile! Mary Wegman is the CEO/Founder of Care Around The Block & Choices In Senior Care, organizations that are committed to providing care for senior adults. Mary & Care Around The Block have worked very hard to ensure their staff is prepared and have what they need to do the best job possible for our clients, the majority of which are high risk. Courtney Owens is an RN at UT Medical Center/Surgery. She has 3 little boys under age 10 but is still working and assisting with surgeries at UT Medical Center. She loves her patients and has a servant’s heart. Thank you Courtney for all you do for our community!
Channing Ledbetter is the Assistant Chief at Greenback Rescue Squad. Channing also works as an EMT with AMR Ambulance Service in Blount County. He is also a member of Monroe County Rescue Squad, Monroe County Dive Team, Vonore Volunteer Fire Department, & Swift Water Rescue. Adam West works as an officer with Knox County Sheriff’s Department. Adam served 6 years in the United States Coast Guard and is accredited with 72 lives saved. Misty Hoskins is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Maxim Healthcare in Knoxville, TN. Misty started out as a CNA 18 years ago. She got her LPN 14 years ago and is currently in school for her RN! Betty Martini is the Director of Nursing Signature Health Care in Rockwood, TN. Betty loves her job and more importantly her patients. She has had to cover for the workers that have called in or walked off the job to ensure her patience have the care the need. While doing this she worked extremely long hours. Sarah Combs is a Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist at FSR in Knoxville. Shes worked her way up the nursing ladder through many years of schooling, training and working as an intensive care RN. Steven Dukes is a Police Officer at Kingston Police Department. He is a retired Army Sergeant that chose to continue serving his community by becoming a police officer after serving his country as a Sergeant in the Army. Jim Washam is Police Chief at Kingston Police Department. Jim Washam has been at Kingston Police Department for 33 years and has been Chief since 2001. He is always “on call,” even when he’s not at work; and he is always thinking of ways to better serve his own officers and his home-town, small community of Kingston. Natalie Adams is from White Pine, TN and works as a Emergency Room RN at the Covenant Health Leconte Medical Center in Sevierville & Hamblen Hospital Morristown. She is also a travel nurse for ER’s. Natalie is a very devoted hard working nurse, dedicated to the health and well being of her patients. She loves her job and it shows, especially being on the front line during this pandemic. Amanda Hart is a Clinical Laboratory Phlebotomist at Endocrinology Consultants of East Tennessee and at Methodist Medical Center. Her job consists of drawing blood from the ER, CCU, ICU and the floors. She is a single mother of two boys and works two jobs at medical laboratories. She is from East Tennessee and currently working in New York on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is working in an environment that she is definitely not used to being from East Tennessee. Janice Garner is an X-Ray Technician at Blount Memorial Hospital. She has worked at Blount Memorial for 25 years and has worked 15 years as an X-Ray Technician. She is a passionate and dedicated employee to her field. Many would describe her as someone they don’t have to worry about because she does her job and takes care of her patients! Kayla Hutchison is a Third Shift Supervisor of Environmental Services at Fort Sanders Medica Center. The environmental staff are so very important because they make sure the rooms are germ free and ready for the next patient. Andrew Hayes is a Volunteer Firefighter for Kansas-Talbott Fire Department. Andrew has been a firefighter for the past 3 years.
