Jellico Hospital is Diverting Ambulances

Another hospital is turning away ambulances. Jellico Hospital is the second in our area to start diverting emergency vehicles in the last several weeks. State officials have received 10 complaints against the hospital and its owner Rennova Health because of late pay. If an employee isn’t paid for 21 days the state will start an investigation. The 21 day deadline is tomorrow (Friday). Problems have been plauging Jellico Hospital and Big South Fork Medical Center, both owned by Rennova, for months. Senator Marsha Blackburn has asked the Tennessee Attorney General to investigate the company.
