Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon

The Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon takes place Sunday, March 29th in Downtown Knoxville. Register today!

The Marathon, 2-Person Relay, 4-Person Relay, and Half Marathon, will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2020.  The marathon, relays, and half marathon will start at 7:30 am. NOTE: The 2020 Covenant Kids Run will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 5:30 pm and the 2020 Covenant Health 5K will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 7:00 pm.
The Races

There is something for everyone, with 6 different events:

  • Marathon (26.2 miles)
  • 2-Person Relay (note: the first leg is approximately 12.8 miles, with the second leg 13.4 miles)
  • 4-Person Relay (note: the first two legs are 6.7 and 6.1 miles respectively, the third 8.2 miles and the final leg is 5.2 miles)
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • 5k (3.1 miles)
  • Covenant Kids Run (1 mile fun run)

Runners and walkers are welcome in all events!


Start area is in Downtown Knoxville on the Clinch Ave bridge, just outside the Knoxville Convention Center, near the intersection with Henley Street.

Covenant Health Marathon, Relay, and Half Marathon:  7:30 am
*All times are subject to slight modification if necessary.

All races (except the Covenant Kids Run) will be timed using a chip timing system. The timing chips will be attached to the bibs for marathon, half marathon, relay, and 5K participants.
