Trial for Eric Boyd Underway in Knox County

The trial for 46-year-old Eric Boyd is underway in Knox County Criminal Court. Boyd is accused of first degree felony murder and other charges in the 2007 deaths of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom. According to our News Partner, WVLT, following opening statements, the Prosecution is calling witnesses to the stand. Boyd is already serving a Federal sentence for accessory after the fact in connection to the case. His trial is expected to last at least two weeks.
