KPD Investigating Possible Stabbing Death

Authorities charged a Knoxville man with aggravated arson and second-degree murder in relation to a fire and reported stabbing at a Southford Drive home that happened on Sunday.  According to court documents, Michael D. Capre is accused of stabbing a woman to death.  Witnesses told police they saw Capre coming out of the home at 2716 Southfork Drive after hearing screams. They said Capre was covered in blood with a large knife in his hand, according to records.  Police said Capre told his wife and a witness that he was going to “set a fire and die.”   Records show Capre admitted to stabbing the victim.
