Diver Who Rescued Thai Soccer Team Rescued from TN Cave

One of the divers who helped saved the Thailand soccer team trapped in a cave last June, had to be rescued from a cave near Jackson Tennessee.

Authorities say Josh Bratchley was with a group of tourists from the UK exploring the Mill Pond Cave near Jackson. The group went for a dive around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, but when they came back they  Josh was missing.

Jackson County Emergency Management Agency spokesman Derek Woolbright says about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, a group of experienced divers reported that Bratchley had not returned from a dive. He said they went back in to find him but could not.

Crews worked through the day and it wasn’t until 7:00 o’clock Wednesday night that they freed Bratchley. Authorities say he was checked by medics, but refused treatment. Bratchley said he was hungry and just wanted a pizza.
