Murder Suspect Arrested After Seymour Standoff

Police say a man wanted for murder barricaded himself inside of a strangers home in Seymour. 33-year-old Brandon Miller was eventually arrested after a standoff that lasted for hours Tuesday.

Neighbors living near Curley Lane and Garners Landing in Seymour were told to stay inside. However, hours before the standoff, one neighbor off Maples Road said he came face-to-face with the suspect in his Seymour driveway.

“He rolled his window down and he said, ‘sorry I have the wrong driveway’,” Mark Patterson told our TV Partner WVLT News. “I didn’t think anything about it.” After seeing a helicopter circling and armored vehicle driving around, he later thought it seemed suspicious.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says Miller is facing felony charges in Washington County and will face charges in other East Tennessee Counties.
