Father Says Toddler Son is Fighting on Life Support

After reports that he had passed a Knoxville father say his toddler son is still on life support. Enrique Orejuela tells our TV Partner WVLT News his son Eli is still fighting after he and his twin sister were pulled from a pool Friday.

Elyssa passed Friday night and an official from Children’s Hospital reported Sunday Eli had passed. It’s unclear where the discrepancy came from.

Orejuela told WVLT Sunday night, “My son is still with us. We have plans for the good and the bad news, but my son is alive…I just walked out of my son’s room. He is on life support. I was just playing with his hair and put his stuffed animal right next to him.”

Crews were called to Fox Lonas Road Friday after the babysitter found Eli and Elyssa in the pool.

A Go Fund Me Page set up for the family has raised nearly $15,000. To help the family CLICK HERE.
