Officials need your help to ID suspect who assaulted, robbed a woman in North Knox

Officials need help identifying a man who broke into a North Knox home, assaulted a woman and stole her car. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office said that the man broke into a residence in the 1500 block of Dry Gap Pike on May 29 at around 2:30 p.m. He assaulted the homeowner then stole her vehicle which has since been recovered. The man is described as being a white male, between 5’8 and 5’10, and weighs approximately 190 to 200 pounds. He has brown hair and a large injury, described by officials as being like a red mark, on his left cheek.
